Wave Rider EA is a hybrid XAUUSD scalper developed for MetaTrader 5.

The system combines seven trading strategies, multi-timeframe market analysis, two position-management modes and three layers of account protection.

SEVEN XAUUSD TRADING STRATEGIES

Wave Rider monitors different Gold market conditions through seven strategy modules.

Support and Resistance identifies important reaction zones using multi-timeframe price structure.

Pullback searches for momentum changes and potential retracement opportunities.

Trend Breakout monitors consolidation ranges for confirmed directional breakouts.

M5 Bounce identifies potential short-term bounce conditions using momentum, strength and candle confirmation.

Smart-Money Volume evaluates volume and candle-spread behaviour across multiple timeframes.

Momentum Continuation searches for fresh directional momentum while the underlying structure remains healthy.

Impulse monitors strong M30 price movements and controlled M5 pullbacks. This optional strategy is disabled by default.

MULTI-TIMEFRAME CONFIRMATION

Wave Rider combines higher-timeframe trend analysis with lower-timeframe entry confirmation.

The system uses internal timeframes, so it can be attached to any chart timeframe while continuing to analyse its required market data.

TWO TRADING MODES

Recovery Mode uses intelligent basket management with progressive spacing, break-even tracking, position limits and trailing protection.

Single Position Mode opens one trade with its own Stop Loss and Take Profit. It disables recovery layers and provides a simpler option for traders who do not want grid-based position management.

FOUR RECOVERY PERSONALITIES

Wide Slow is the balanced default. It uses volatility-based spacing and waits longer between recovery positions.

Wide Fast responds more quickly but can create greater trading activity and account exposure.

Static uses predefined spacing and a tighter basket target.

Hybrid combines minimum spacing with volatility-based expansion.

Recovery mode involves additional positions and increased exposure. It requires sufficient margin and careful risk selection.

THREE LAYERS OF ACCOUNT PROTECTION

Drawdown Protection monitors daily account drawdown. When the selected limit is reached, Wave Rider can close its positions and pause new trading.

ATH Protection can prevent new entries when Gold is trading near a detected all-time-high area.

Dynamic Exit monitors rapid adverse price movements and can close Wave Rider positions when its protection conditions are triggered.

ENTRY PROFILES

Choose Cautious, Balanced or Aggressive entry behaviour.

Entry selectivity is configured separately from position sizing, allowing you to combine the preferred entry profile with an appropriate account-risk level.

POSITION SIZING

Wave Rider supports Fixed Lot, Auto Risk and Custom Scale position sizing.

Always select a lot size that is appropriate for your balance, leverage, broker specifications and personal risk tolerance.

SMARTER NEWS PROTECTION

Wave Rider can pause new entries around selected high-impact economic events.

Additional protection is available for CPI, FOMC, NFP and USD bank holidays.

Existing positions continue to be managed while new entries are paused.

NEXTGEN DASHBOARD

The integrated dashboard provides a clear view of important trading information.

It displays account performance, drawdown, strategy status, strategy profit and loss, news protection, calculated lot size, sizing risk and the selected entry profile.

TRADING SCHEDULE

Configure multiple entry windows for each trading day.

A separate Friday schedule is included. Existing positions remain managed outside the selected new-entry times.

BACKTESTING

Wave Rider can be tested directly in the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester.

For more realistic testing, select real ticks and include your broker’s spread, commission and symbol specifications.

Testing from 2025 onward is recommended for the current version because the quality and availability of older historical data may vary.

Backtest results can differ between brokers and do not guarantee future performance.

VERSION 5.X UPDATE NOTICE

Close all existing Wave Rider positions before upgrading from an older version.

Strategy Magic Numbers and several input names have changed.

Review the new settings and save a new preset because older SET files or chart templates may not restore every option correctly.
